Ever since I put the news alert up at the homepage (
http://exileclub.tumblr.com/newsalert) a group of people (or one geek through a few proxies) have been trying to hack the forums.
They obviously don't understand that hacking the forums won't take down the news alert page (since it is hosted somewhere else), but they are trying to get on my nerves nonetheless.
They levied an attack on the server that holds the db of the forums and managed to topple over a few unstable sections of code (by requesting the same thing over and over again), but I repaired the code and optimized everything, so this won't work anymore.
However, they must have somehow found a way into my computer, because my antivirus and firewall have both been telling me a hacking attempt was happening today, which I stopped just in time.
Here is my warning:
ANY ATTEMPT TO CENSOR ME OR TO HINDER MY FREEDOM OF SPEECH WILL BE MEET WITH SWIFT AND CLEAN JUSTICE. NO ONE CAN STOP ME FROM SAYING WHAT NEEDS TO BE SAID, AND IF I NEED TO TEACH YOU A LESSON, I WILL NOT HESITATE TO EXERCISE WHAT POWERS I HAVE HERE ON THE INTERNET TO BALANCE THE SCALE.And, geek, if you are reading:
DON'T EVER TRY HACK MY COMPUTER AGAIN, MY PRIVACY IS PROTECTED BY LAW, AND I KNOW PEOPLE WHO CAN SPEED AN INVESTIGATION INTO ANY NEW ATTEMPT AT HACKING MY COMPUTER.Everyone else, sorry for the angry letter, but I feel the need to warn everyone that internet censorship is real.
